At Creative Kiddies, we believe that every child is a unique individual who needs a safe and secure, caring and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.

We believe that the environment that surrounds the child has a great effect on the child’s wellbeing and development. We believe that developing a play-based program around the children’s interests and providing programs- either in a warm open space indoor or in the open natural space outdoors increase the children’s motivation and stimulate their passion to further extend their interests and develop their learning.

We believe that children should be given sufficient time to freely play, experiment, create and imagine. Self-directed play, spontaneous and planned programs and the intentional teaching approach are all needed for the child’s growth and competence, social and emotional wellbeing, language, fine motor and gross motor skills.

We believe that building genuine and positive relationships with children, families and each other are essential for the children’s learning.

Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships allow us to provide inclusive programs that meet the individual needs of each child and assist in reaching their potential. We aim to provide planned and spontaneous educational programs which are based on the ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for the 2 - 6 year old children.

We encourage needs based learning by being open to external support, particularly for children with additional needs. We aim to encourage the families to be involved in the service according to their needs, interest and opportunities to improve educational outcomes for the children.

We value the diversity of the families and we encourage them to share their skills with the staff and the children at the center. We embrace indigenous and Torre Strait Islander perspectives, through our practices and Reconciliation Action Plan within our service. We embrace the diverse cultures within our service and ensure culturally appropriate and inclusive communication with families. We encourage all educators to embrace the developmental stages and milestones of each unique child in their care.

Educators are encouraged to work cooperatively to continually update their skills, knowledge and interests through formal and informal professional development experiences. We aim to take an active role in caring for the environment by encouraging sustainable practices.

We aim to develop and maintain strong links with the local community by acknowledging and exploring our local area. We encourage all stakeholders to incorporate the resources available in our community.

We aim to inform our community about our Education and Care Service through a diversity of communication approaches.
